The Pruden Foundation has made the transition from an independent, private foundation to the Pruden Family Fund, a donor-advised fund at the Hampton Roads Community Foundation (HRCF). As part of that transition, please read the below important updates regarding our grant making process moving forward.    

In connection with our transition to a donor-advised fund, the Pruden Family Fund will not be accepting formal grant applications. This decision has been made after careful consideration and with the intention of increasing our flexibility, refining our focus and enhancing our impact in the areas we support. 

While we will no longer accept formal grant applications, we do anticipate building upon our 50-plus year legacy of supporting worthy philanthropic organizations and projects, with a traditional focus on Western Tidewater. We will be making current year funding decisions In October 2024, with notifications to grant recipients coming directly from HRCF.
